Use of AI in PDF Association meetings

The PDF Association Board of Directors recognizes technology advances such as with notetaking tools. In order to maintain the integrity and discussions in our meetings, the use of note taking artificial intelligence tools in all Association meetings shall be strictly forbidden. PDF Association staff will remove note taking bots from meetings. Only  PDF Association-operated note-taking automation is permitted in Working Group meetings.

While the PDF Association uses Google Meet it will use AI note-taking tools that maintain users’ privacy according to the Google Workplace Terms of Service. At its sole discretion, the PDF Association may make available to members some or all of the output from Google’s note-taking service.

This policy attempts to maintain the integrity of the discussions that take place in our working groups and protect proprietary information.
