The 3rd such event of its type, the PDF Association's PDF 2.0 Interop Workshops are intended to help developers achieve industry-wide consensus on the meaning and application of PDF technology standards.
Although PDF 2.0 is designed to be largely backward compatible, older processors won’t handle new features.. but how won't they handle them?. It’s vital for PDF developers to be able to accommodate PDF 2.0 files when their customers begin to use the new features and to share these files with others.PDF 2.0 includes many new features and existing-feature enhancements. Developers can use the interop workshops to test their understanding of these capabilities and validate their software against the new ISO 32000-2 (PDF 2.0) standard by working with vendors of other tools.The PDF Association provides:

Das Erstellen von barrierefreien PDF-Dokumenten, gerade für öffentliche Einrichtungen und Behörden, wird immer mehr zur Pflicht. Wie sieht ein solches Dokument überhaupt aus und wie erstellt man solche Dokumente, möglichst ohne großen Aufwand?
In diesem Mitmach-Tagesworkshop lernen Sie, wie Sie zielführend beim Erstellen von barrierefreien PDF-Dokumenten aus Adobe InDesign vorgehen. Dafür wird zu Beginn vermittelt, was überhaupt ein barrierefreies PDF ist, und was die Anforderungen an solche Dokumente sind. Mit diesem Wissen werden, anhand von Best Practice-Beispielen, Strategien zum effizienten Erstellen von PDF/UA-konformen Dokumenten und Formularen mit Adobe InDesign und axaio MadeToTag gezeigt. Außerdem werden Lösungen für klassische Probleme vermittelt.
