Thomas Schempp
I studied History and Sociology at the University of Zurich while working in the prepress industry, at a time when PostScript and the early versions of PDF were at the forefront. After graduation, I remained in IT and co-founded two companies. In the second, I led the development of Citavi, a reference management software that has become widely used in academia.
Since 2023, I have been Head of Software Development at axes4, focusing on accessible documents and PDF/UA standards.
Alongside my passion for creating great software, I enjoy hiking and climbing in the mountains, as well as other sports.
