Despite the many advantages that PDFs offer, AI processing is regularly perceived as complicated. This misconception frequently leads to approaches that can severely limit the efficiency of AI.
The key to optimal AI processing lies in utilizing all of PDF’s native features, particularly the format’s semantic capabilities. Tagged PDF documents provide additional semantic information. This includes the logical reading order, indications of the language used, logical table structures, and descriptive alternative text for images. This can help AI understand a document’s structure while minimizing computational effort.
