Adobe CMap Resources GitHub repository is a Normative Reference for PDF 2.0, as listed on the PDF Association’s annotated Normative References list for ISO 32000-2:2020.

Adobe engineers recently finally approved the merge request changes to add support for Unicode 15 to the CMap resources for both Adobe-Japan1-7 and Adobe-KR-9 in the Adobe CMap Resources GitHub repository.

Although available on a branch for some time, these additions are now formalized into a "January 18, 2023" release tag. Details of the changes are summarized in Pull Request #13, with the specific CMap file version updates and changes visible in the Pull Request “Files Changed” tab. VeraPDF developers have already moved to integrate these Unicode 15.0 updates ready for their next release.
