PDF Forensics LWG
PDF documents may be found everywhere… and that includes, as evidence in court-cases, criminal investigations, as targets for research and many other applications in which those who are not experts in PDF technology nonetheless have questions or concerns regarding internal aspects of PDF technology.
This Liaison Working Group is a meeting-place for interface between PDF technology industry members and forensics experts to help drive common understandings on analysis of PDF files and to provide feedback to the industry as a whole. As its organizing purpose the group will undertake to develop a guidance document containing authoritative best-practice guidance for those engaging in forensic analysis of PDF files.
Joining the PDF Forensics LWG
PDF Association members can simply join this community via the Member Area on pdfa.org, however, full membership in the PDF Association is not necessary to join this LWG. Organizations wishing to participate may apply to become Liaison members of the PDF Association, which affords access to an unlimited number of personnel to PDF Association Liaison Working Groups. Individual consultants and forensics experts not affiliated with an organization that is professionally engaged in forensics matters may join as Individual Liaison members.
Participation by non-members
All PDF Association LWGs are open to non-members who have an explicit interest in the topic subject to their agreement with the PDF Association’s IPR Policy and Code of Conduct.

NOTE: Those who participate in this LWG without PDF Association membership or Invited Expert status do not have access to PDF Association members-only resources, including TWGs or draft ISO documents.
