Print Product Metadata LWG
Background
Consisting of both member and non-member organizations, the Print Product Metadata (PPM) LWG’s purpose is to develop application notes supporting implementation of ISO 21812 and related technologies.
Under the terms of LWG operations, the scope of the group is limited to the production of informative content and example files. Membership in the LWG does not provide access to PDF Association members-only resources.
Objective
Print Product Metadata builds on the DPart structures in PDF files (syntax) and specifies how XJDF jobticket information for print production (semantics) can be associated with PDF pages or page ranges. This allows for powerful automation capabilities for print production.
