Datalogics Expands OCR Capabilities for C++ in Adobe PDF Library

The latest Adobe PDF Library release from Datalogics builds upon recently introduced OCR enhancements with new tools for page-level text recognition. This update adds the PDOCRRecognizePage C++ API to the OCR plugin, enabling developers to rasterize an entire PDF page and run optical character recognition (OCR) on the resulting image.
In the previous release (v18.0.5PlusP1w), Adobe PDF Library introduced OCREngine support in the C++ interface along with the OCRImage sample, which demonstrated importing a bitmap into a PDF and adding OCR text. This new release extends that functionality with a new OCRPage sample, showcasing how to perform OCR on a full page using the new API.
Additional updates include:
- Additional updates include updating libpng to version 1.6.51 to mitigate known vulnerabilities.
These enhancements make it easier for developers to create fully searchable, text-rich PDFs from scanned or image-based content using Adobe PDF Library.
