Launched April 23, 2014, the joint ISO TC 130 WG 2 FTF 3 and PDF Association Working Group just met again on May 21, 2014. The group is quite active and will meet every two weeks in the coming months. Their initial focus is on developing best practice guidelines on expressing product intent, completely independent of JDF which is considered too complex by numerous potential PDF/VT users, who value the relative simplicity of output control options in AFP or PostScript. The web meetings of the PDF/VT Application Notes Working Group activities are open to all interested parties without requiring membership in ISO or PDF Association. For more information it is recommended to subscribe to the "PDFVT-next" mailing list (see http://lists.callassoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/pdfvt-next/ ). Subscribers to the list may also access the list archive, including minutes from previous meetings.
