Raf Hens

Raf Hens is a member of the PDF Association Board of Directors.

Raf Hens is the VP Engineering at Apryse, where he focuses on PDF-centric technology and products. He joined Apryse through the acquisition of iText Group in 2022. Before starting his career in the PDF industry in 2012, he worked as a researcher at Ghent University, where he also earned his master's degree in Computer Science. As CTO at iText Group, he has built and expanded the technical division, responsible for development and release of products such as iText Core + add-ons, pdf2Data and iText DITO. Raf is a member of the Belgian delegation (NBN) at the ISO PDF committees (ISO/TC 171/SC 2), and Chair of the Board of the PDF Association.
