ISO 19444
XML Forms Data Format — Part 1: Use of ISO 32000-2 (XFDF 3.0)
This standard specifies an XML format for representing forms data and annotations in PDF 2.0, as defined by ISO 32000-2. This document does not alter ISO 32000-2 in any way.
XFDF is the XML equivalent to FDF files, which are defined in clause 12.7.8 of ISO 32000-2. FDF files uses the same COS syntax that PDF files use.
XFDF was first published in 2016, with a 2019 dated revision making the following improvements:
- Addition of 3D comment related elements and attributes;
- Stream encoding information for XFDF.
