April 17, 2025, TORONTO – Crawford Technologies, provider of innovative document solutions that streamline, improve and manage customer communications, released Version 5.8 of its Digital Transform Engine (DTE), the company's core engine and the base of its award-winning solutions. DTE 5.8 offers key upgrades that streamline the production of compliant, high-quality communications to further enhance the user experience and save significant time and resources.

The new features of DTE 5.8 that accelerate the creation and delivery of customer communications include:

  • Enhanced font management: Optimizes subset font handling to significantly reduce file sizes, improve print reliability and accelerate processing workflows, enhancing performance across print and digital channels.
  • Automated Learning Management System (LMS) content remediation: Automating the remediation of educational content ensures compliance with accessibility standards and saves time and resources compared to manual remediation.
  • Automated bilingual PDF creation: Generates and manages accessible multi-language PDF files, reducing time to market and costs for organizations that serve non-English speakers and individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP).
  • Enhanced AccessibilityNow® Designer workflow: Enhancements leverage Crawford Technologies' award-winning AccessibilityNow SmartSetup software solution designed to fully automate the time-consuming task of template creation, to advance the process of configuring proper tagging, defining reading order, identifying artifacts and more for the creation of compliant accessible PDFs.
