there are several tools to convert PDF into PDF/A with one command. You need to decide which level (PDF/A-1 or PDF/A-2b or …) you would like to address and if the PDF should also be optimised (for example downsampling images for smaller PDF) during the process. Next question would be, if your source PDF include interactive objects like hyperlinks or annotations which need to survive and finally the operating system (Mac, Windows, Linux, Solaris, ..). The pdfaPilot from callas software would address all above and you can use it on a desktop for batch processing or fully automated on a server.
