The first event in 2025’s PDF Triathlon, PDF Workshops is a unique opportunity for library and application developers, computer scientists and technology researchers to engage in depth with the independent PDF technology expert who created the Arlington PDF Model, manages errata for the PDF specification, writes dozens of technical articles about PDF, and plays a variety of key roles in shaping the future of the PDF format.
The PDF Workshops are led by ISO 32000 Project Leader, and the PDF Association’s CTO Peter Wyatt. The event will be held in-person, at the SI Hotel in Berlin, on September 11-12, the location of PDF Days Europe 2025 on the following Monday and Tuesday, September 15 and 16.
Audience
The intended audience for the PDF workshops are software developers, software team leaders, technical support personnel and other experts responsible for PDF software technologies. Membership in the PDF Association is NOT required to attend.
Existing knowledge of the PDF specifications is assumed, along with experience in developing PDF parsers, renderers, viewers or PDF writers. Basic programming knowledge and use of command line utilities is expected. Participants should bring their laptops to create and explore PDFs, and become familiar with the information, resources and tools being presented.
The event will be conducted in English.
