iLoveAPI adds three new tools for AI-ready Document Workflows

iLoveAPI, the developer platform from iLovePDF, has released three new tools that expand how developers can process, structure, and prepare PDF documents at scale. Each addition targets a specific gap in modern document workflows, from feeding clean content into large language models to recovering form structure from flattened files.

Here is what is now available through the API

AI Summarize

Generate concise summaries of PDF documents directly through the API, with control over the length of the output to match your use case. 

Whether you need a short abstract for a search index or a fuller digest for a review queue, the summary adapts to the length you specify.

 It fits well into content triage, document previews, and any workflow that needs long files reduced into something a reader (or another system) can act on quickly.

PDF to Markdown

Convert PDF files into clean Markdown while preserving the underlying document structure, including headings, lists, and layout hierarchy. 

As teams build retrieval pipelines and feed documents into LLMs, Markdown has become a preferred intermediate format. 

This tool gives developers a reliable way to extract structured, model-friendly text without losing the organization of the original.

Smart Split

Split PDFs based on document content and structure rather than fixed page ranges.

Instead of cutting every set number of pages, Smart Split reads the document and separates it along meaningful boundaries, which makes it a strong fit for batches of statements, invoices, contracts, or any set of documents bundled into a single file.
