JPedal’s newest release brings superior PDF inspection tools, improved tagged content extraction, and better support for compressed PDFs. These updates enhance PDF rendering, debugging, and content processing, making it easier for developers to work with complex documents.
Key Enhancements
- Revamped Objects Viewer now supports compressed PDFs and provides a more accurate COS tree.
- Improved extraction of marked content (tagged PDFs) for better accessibility and structured data handling.
- Updated HTML output to align with PDF Association’s guidelines.
- New tutorial on retrieving page coordinates from mouse interactions.
- Enhanced image extraction from tagged PDFs.
The New Object Viewer has:
- More accurate COS tree structure
- Non-dictionary values appear in the tree as well
- Entire window is now dynamic and can be resized (including middle divider)
- types and keys are more accurate
Fixes & Performance Improvements
- Resolved multiple form rendering issues, including duplicate components and missing flattened forms.
- Fixed clipping issues for XObjects with zero dimensions.
- Increased XRef stream size limit to handle larger PDFs efficiently.
- Updated LogWriter to use Java’s Logger for improved debugging.
