With axesWord 26.0.9, accessibility checking is now available directly within Word.
The new checker allows you to check entire documents, specific page sections, or individual selections for important accessibility aspects without leaving axesWord. This means you can identify potential accessibility issues while creating your document, rather than only checking it after exporting it to PDF.
The check covers areas such as document metadata, headings and their structure, alternative text, tables, and form fields. Any issues found are displayed as errors or warnings, making it easier to identify and address potential problems. Where possible, you can jump directly from a result to the relevant section or editing function.
The new accessibility checker is available as a beta version for testing and is being continuously developed.
With the new checker, axesWord brings document creation and accessibility checking together in one tool, helping you consider accessibility directly where your documents are created: in Microsoft Word.
