PDF Association expands its board of directors
Catherine Andersz of PDFTron Systems, Alaine Behler of iText Software and Peter Wyatt, ISO Project Leader for ISO 32000 enrich the newly elected board of the PDF Association.
Berlin. The newly elected board of the PDF Association now consists of eleven members. Two marketing experts have been added; Catherine Andersz of PDFTron Systems and Alaine Behler of iText Software. Peter Wyatt, ISO Project Leader for ISO 32000, will also enrich the international association’s leadership team. As the most important regions for the PDF Association, Germany and North America have equal representation with four members each. Matt Kuznicki of Datalogics Inc. remains chairman of the board, and Dietrich von Seggern of callas software GmbH will continue as his deputy.
“Our new board has extensive marketing know-how, not least thanks to Catherine Andersz and Alaine Behler,” said Thomas Zellmann, Managing Director of the PDF Association. “In Peter Wyatt, we have a new board member with a deep technical understanding of the PDF format. Together with our Executive Director Duff Johnson, he led the ISO project to develop PDF 2.0. With this expanded marketing and technological expertise, we look forward to continuing to promote PDF applications for digital documents.”
Boris Doubrov of Dual Lab, Justin Durkan of Nitro, François Fernandès of levigo solutions, Carsten Heiermann of Foxit Europe, Leonard Rosenthol of Adobe Systems and Dr. Bernd Wild of intarsys consulting have were re-elected as board members.

First established as the PDF/A Competence Center in 2006, today, the PDF Association is an international organization promoting awareness and adoption of open standards in digital document applications using PDF technology. The association facilitates education, networking and communication, and the sharing of expertise and experience with interested parties worldwide. The current membership includes over 110 enterprises and numerous individual subject-matter experts from more than 20 countries.
The management board includes industry leaders from Adobe, callas software, Datalogics, Dual Lab, Foxit, intarsys consulting, iText, levigo solutions, Nitro Software and PDFTron, and ISO 32000 Project Leader Peter Wyatt. The association’s chairman is Matt Kuznicki, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Datalogics Inc. The Executive Director is Duff Johnson, independent consultant and ISO Project Leader of ISO 32000 and ISO 14289.
