Berlin. Those interested in the PDF format can now register for this year’s PDF Days Europe in Berlin. A comprehensive agenda awaits, with over 35 contributions on 15 and 16 May covering all aspects of PDF technology. The focus will be on the PDF Association’s largest and most far-reaching project to date for next-generation PDF which combines the core functionality of PDF with the flexibility of web-based technology.

The programme which follows will be divided into three parallel tracks covering all aspects of the PDF format, including improving use of PDF on mobile devices, insights into PDF 2.0, PDF/raster for use in high-volume scanning solutions and centralised PDF conversion as a service. Participants will also learn in greater detail about the ISO standards PDF/A for long-term archiving, PDF/UA for universally accessible documents and PDF/X for exchanging print templates.

The content of the Post-Conference, which will follow on 17 May, has been assembled by axes4, Foxit Europe, PDFix, Normex and SRZ. The workshops at the event will feature next-generation PDF, PDF/UA and digital tenant records. Foxit will also hold its first User Group Meeting in Europe
