New remediation actions
The action library has grown considerably. Since 3.0, PDFix Desktop has added Merge Tags, Fix Fonts for Form Filling, Set Unicode for Font Charcode, Fix Invalid Elements, Set Annotation Flag, and Delete and Artifact. Each one addresses a specific failure point in real remediation workflows - font encoding gaps, invalid structure elements, annotation tagging, form text rendering.
Merge Tags
The standout addition in 3.2. Automated processing leaves fragmented tags, duplicates, and broken Note chains. Merge Tags consolidates them - wrapper tags, neighbours, nested Document tags, Note chains - into a single target. Works across pages via the new tag_neighbours template function.
The table fix that changes your validation results
Multi-page tables were passing veraPDF PDF/UA checks when they had no business doing so. A gap in continuous table tagging across page breaks was producing false negatives. That is now fixed. If you have validated documents with multi-page tables in your queue, run validation again.
veraPDF integration
veraPDF has been updated to 1.30.2, previously hidden validation errors are now surfaced in Desktop results, and error reporting from single-process runs is more reliable. The validation picture you see now is more complete than it was at 3.0.
Performance improvements across both Desktop and SDK ship with this release.
