Accelerated document rendering with modern hardware
Excerpt: Today’s hardware provides several options to leverage in the rendering of documents. These include multi-cores, single instruction multiple data (SIMD) intrinsics, and general-purpose graphic processing units (GPGPUs). In this talk, we will explore the use of some of these methods for processing documents. In particular we will focus on multi-banded rendering and SIMD instructions for transparency, color conversion, interpolation and half-toning.About the presenter(s)
