Dietrich von Seggern, Managing Director of callas software, took part in this year's eighteenth ACM Symposium on Document Engineering, DocEng, in Halifax, Canada. He found out that there are still a number of suggestions and feature requests for the PDF industry that are worth implementing so that their products better meet the requirements of users. It is at least equally important to make unknown properties of PDFs public.
