Presenter: Dipl. Ing. Uli Isermeyer (56) is responsible for the Document Cloud, Technical Communication and eLearning as a Business Development Manager at Adobe Systems in Munich. After the study of wood technology, he was working 17 years in the CAD Software Industry at vendors like Autodesk or Graphisoft in leading positions in technical Sales and Marketing. In 2005 Uli Isermeyer joined Adobe to build up the vertical usage of Acrobat and PDF in Markets like AEC, MFG, GIS and other fields. Working with customers, partners and several associations is the main focus of his work. As a product owner he is the link between customers, developers and the product management/engineering inside Adobe. On several events and webinars he is a speaker for Acrobat, Adobe Sign and other products & technologies. Uli Isermeyer was significantly involved in the marked introduction of Acrobat 3D and 3D-PDF also in the Techdoc market.
Session Description: This presentation will give an overview about the technical concept of 3D PDF. It will go through the different concepts and use cases of 3D PDF in the industry. As PRC can handle Model Based Definition (MBD) and Model Based Enterprise (MBE), some examples and technical concepts of PRC are shown. PRC is also part of the PDF 2.0 & forthcoming PDF/A-4 specification, the presentation will handle the history, the current status and future plans in terms of the ISO Standards.
