New solutions and practical presentations for PDF in the digital office

Berlin/Hanover, January 31 2017 – callas software, a leading provider of automatic PDF processing and archiving solutions, will be present as part of the digital Premier League at this year’s CeBIT in Hanover from March 20-24, 2017. Most conventional tools for creating PDF/A-2 can only create single PDF/A files. The newest version of PDF Longlife Suite from SEAL Systems can also convert nested or embedded files, such as e-mails with attachments or Excel sheets embedded in Word documents, into PDF/A-2. Here the use of the PDF/A-2’s property itself is essential for it to be a container for other PDF/A files.

Herkömmliche Tools zur Erzeugung von PDF/A-2 können meist nur einzelne PDF/A-Dateien erzeugen. Die neueste Version der PDF Longlife Suite von SEAL Systems konvertiert dagegen auch so genannte verschachtelte oder eingebettete Dateien, wie zum Beispiel E-Mails mit Anhängen oder in Worddokumente eingebettete Excel-Tabellen, in PDF/A-2. Wesentlich ist hier die Nutzung der Eigenschaft von PDF/A-2 selbst wieder Container weiterer PDF/A Dateien sein zu können.

Berlin, 23 January 2017. After seeing a record number of attendees last year, the 2017 PDF Days will again be held in Berlin. The PDF Association invites interested parties to the Hotel Steglitz International for the two-day event on 15 and 16 May where they will be able to assemble their own personal bundle of knowledge regarding PDF as a global standard. Highlights will include the introduction of a new PDF initiative organised by the association which will make the PDF format more usable on devices of all sizes.

Berlin, 23. Januar 2017. Die PDF Days Europe finden nach dem Teilnehmerrekord im vergangenen Jahr erneut 2017 in Berlin statt. Die PDF Association lädt Interessenten vom 15. bis 16. Mai ins Hotel Steglitz International zu der zweitägigen Veranstaltung ein, um sich ihr persönliches Wissenspaket zu PDF als weltweiten Standard zu schnüren. Zu den Highlights zählt die Vorstellung einer neuen PDF-Initiative des Verbandes, mit der das PDF-Format künftig noch besser auf allen Gerätegrößen nutzbar sein wird.

Berlin. Das veraPDF-Konsortium hat die Version 1.0 des gleichnamigen Open-Source-basierten PDF-Validators veröffentlicht. Dabei handelt es sich um ein kostenfreies Werkzeug, mit dem Benutzer feststellen, ob ihre Dokumente dem PDF/A-Standard entsprechen und in Jahrzehnten noch lesbar sind.
