How to use HTML to generated PDF documents
Generating documents can be challenging. There are many tools, different platforms and markup languages. Especially these markup languages like XSL:FO or similar, do have a steep learning curve and there are not that many people comfortable with those.
But there is one markup language, that is widely known and well established: HTML. Although primarily intended for screen consumption, when done right, HTML can be the source of flexible and visually appealing documents. In this session, we’ll dive into a tool chain that makes generating documents based on HTML as easy and fun as typical front end projects. Equipped with a modern tool chain that is based on node, yarn, SCSS, HTML, browser sync and more, we will see how easy it can be to generate documents.
This session will include some slides, but concentrate on live examples which showcases the process and tools.
