Since the entry of 3D to the PDF specification, usage has been dominated by the AEC industry. Today, the way we use, interpret and digest 3D models and embed 3D data has matured—mostly attributed to the exponential advancements in technology. So what does the future look like for the life-like format in the AEC industry and beyond? In this session we’ll explore:
- The use of PDFs to transition and collaborate between 2D and 3D formats, bringing architects (who think in 3D), and engineers (who think in 2D) together
- The expansion of 3D more broadly and its use integration with other formats
- New use cases and industry applications
- 3D annotations, how they’re used and stored for now and into the future
