The PDF Association is pleased to invite our members and PDF technology stakeholders to PDF Week Fall 2023 in San Francisco! For PDF's technical community, PDF Week is the ideal way to engage the industry's experts and participate in advancing PDF technology.
Following the successful launch of PDF Week in Paris earlier this year, the PDF Association is hosting co-located in-person meetings of its Technical and Liaison Working Groups with those of ISO TC 171 SC 2 - the home of ISO standards for PDF.
PDF Week offers key benefits for PDF developers, technical product managers and other stakeholders:

- Meet with and learn from industry colleagues, international representatives and end users
- Networking and group events
- Observe and participate in ISO meetings
- Build links from ongoing PDF Association technical activities to ISO standardization
Symposium on Advancing the PDF Imaging Model
PDF hasn't changed in fundamental ways since PDF 1.5, 20 years ago. Today, industry is seeing requests for new raster image formats (e.g., JPEG XL), support for HDR rendering, NChannel transparency blending, modern font capabilities and more.
On Tuesday, October 17, PDF Week will serve as the venue for an open industry symposium to discuss a wide range of possible changes and enhancements to PDF's imaging model.
The PDF Association Technical Working Group (TWG) will open the symposium by presenting the issues; the balance of the day will be devoted to breakouts on specific topics. All PDF developers interested in the details of PDF's imaging model are welcome!
